There is blues influence in almost all of David's playing: early Pink Floyd were heavily influenced by Blues (hell, they got the name from combining the names of a couple early folk bluesmen, Floyd Council and Pink Anderson); in addition, Rick Wright plays hammond organ on B.B. King's "In London" album. There is a mess of blues mixed in with a bunch of Floyd's stuff, in combo with their own psychedelic and english folk sounds... no fluke that Dave would want to sit in with one of his heroes.
